My approach to astrology
My name is Phil Diamond and I practise applied, concrete astrology. Alongside my consultation work, I pursue philological research and edit Italian editions of the great classics of the astrological tradition, which you can find in the Books section.
My training and technical background span both classical and modern astrology. I do not adhere dogmatically to a single school of thought, but take an eclectic and pragmatic approach: in the light of the experience I have gained in the field over the years, I have selected and integrated the most effective technical and operational rules from the great systems in the history of astrology.
My practice follows the line of concrete, structured and verifiable astrology, whose references are the most effective operational elements of Ciro Discepolo’s Active Astrology, the methodological rigour of Jean-Baptiste Morin de Villefranche, and the horary tradition of William Lilly and John Frawley.
I do not practise vague astrology, generic interpretation or fatalism. My aim is to offer precise technical guidance, based on rigorous calculations and on strategies that can be applied directly to real life.

I combine the techniques for protecting the year with a rigorous assessment of the house placements and of the feasibility of the journey, always favouring convenient destinations: large cities or places close to major airports.

Technical answers to specific questions
Born from Hellenistic inceptional astrology and developed by Arabic and medieval astrologers, horary astrology found in William Lilly, in the seventeenth century, one of its most complete systematisations. It analyses the chart cast for the moment when a clear, well-defined question is received and understood by the astrologer. It is the ideal tool for precise, clearly defined answers on business matters, legal cases, finances, missing people or lost items, and imminent decisions.

Philological and technical rigour
Direct knowledge of classical and modern authors, combined with the experience gained in the field over the years, allows for an analysis free from improvisation and approximation.
Pragmatism and concreteness
I use astrology as a tool for optimisation and prevention, with clear and well-reasoned recommendations.
Feasibility
Every recommendation, whether about place or timing, takes account of the client’s practical circumstances and translates into solutions that can actually be carried out.
